An "insta" seed is one in which the desired biome or feature is instantly seen from the spawn point, facing west (default spawn direction). They are based specifically on the seed thumbnail views from the robo generator.

 | River "V" Biome variant. Steve spawns at a sharp hairpin "V" bend in a river, facing the two forks. Interestingly, this scenario happens often enough that it's worth cataloging. There seems to be something special about the "V". Perhaps it is because you're just starting your adventure and you are given a choice... do you go left, or go right? (In descriptive seed 1289, one branch leads to a huge mesa with a triple village, the other just snow, snow, snow.) The "V" also could make a good, defendable base surrounded by water on 3 sides, easy to locate if you get lost, and easy to get back to if you get killed and re-spawn.  | Stronghold Feature. Not technically an insta-seed as you can't immediately see it upon spawn, though you can see the host village above it. While it's near impossible to write a robo-script to check for strongholds in each world, I can definitely take advantage of the robotically-found village insta-seeds to narrow the search, then manually check each seed. Because the eye of ender is not yet implemented, the Minecraft PE developers chose to put strongholds directly under the well in some villages. The frequency, however, is rumored to be 1 in 100, which is disappointingly rare (for example, my wife and I spent a year exploring about 33,000 square meters of a world in survival world and found about ten villages... which is one tenth the number needed to find ONE stronghold!). So... using published seeds on the web may be the only practical way to enjoy finding a stronghold at this time. Frequency: Percent appearance in insta-seeds. Number in parentheses is percent of land area of typical world. Sometimes the numbers vary... for example, plains is only 10% of total land area, but plains biomes tend to be smaller and are mixed in next to other biomes. Additionally, most Insta-Seeds show more than one biome. So this is why plains shows up in one third of all Insta-Seeds.
